On behalf of the Scientific Programme Committee, it is my great pleasure to invite you to the 5th Asia-Pacific Ocular Imaging Society (APOIS) Congress, held in conjunction with the 1st Tsinghua International Eye Symposium (TIES), from November 7th to November 9th, 2025, in Beijing, China.
This year’s theme, “Transforming Eye Care with AI and Imaging,” reflects the rapid advancements and transformative potential of artificial intelligence and cutting-edge imaging technologies in ophthalmology. Together, we will explore how these innovations are reshaping the diagnosis, management, and treatment of eye diseases, ultimately improving patient outcomes worldwide.

On behalf of the organizing committee, it is my great honor to welcome you to the 5th Asia-Pacific Ocular Imaging Society (APOIS) Congress and the 1st Tsinghua International Eye Symposium (TIES), to be held from November 7th to November 9th, 2025, in Beijing, China.
APOIS has long been a cornerstone in fostering collaboration among ophthalmologists and vision scientists, driving innovation in ocular imaging. This year, we are proud to unite APOIS with the inaugural TIES, creating a landmark event that celebrates several transformative milestones.
This historic gathering marks the launch of TIES as Tsinghua University’s first international ophthalmology symposium, the global debut of the Beijing Visual Science and Translational Eye Research Institute (BERI) as a premier platform for scientific exchange, and the official introduction of the newly established Tsinghua Eye Center to the global ophthalmic community.
Under the theme “Transforming Eye Care with AI and Imaging,” we have curated an exceptional scientific program showcasing cutting-edge research, groundbreaking technologies, and interdisciplinary innovations.
